WCMEA Mission Statement
The Westmoreland County Music Educators Association is a county organization of certified music teachers of public and parochial schools, and institutions of higher learning all working together for a common cause – to improve school music.
Through festivals sponsored by the Westmoreland County Music Educators Association, school musicians have acquired valuable and inspirational musical experiences. They have had the rare privilege of working under the leadership of some of the country's finest musicians and directors.
The Westmoreland County Music Educators Association cooperates fully with the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the PA Department of Education, and is affiliated with MENC, The Music Educators National Conference, and PMEA, The Pennsylvania Music Educators Association.
